A Two-Year Journey as a Development System Engineer

For two years, I dedicated myself to working as a Development System Engineer at Alpine Racing, tirelessly striving to bring the best out of our Formula E car. The role required not only technical expertise but also a relentless drive to innovate and improve every aspect of the car. It was a thrilling experience to see how each adjustment impacted performance on the track.

Transitioning to Formula 1: A Project That Never Started

As my time at Alpine Racing was coming to a close, I was looking forward to moving to the Formula 1 department. However, plans changed dramatically when the announcement was made about Alpine F1 Team acquiring Mercedes powertrains. The project that I had anticipated did not come to fruition, leaving me with a sense of disappointment. It was a challenging moment as I reflected on the hard work put into our Formula E initiatives.

Extending My Commitment to Formula E

Despite the disappointment, duty called once again. I decided to extend my commitment for one more month to prepare and support the Formula E Pre-Season tests at Jarama. This extension was filled with a robust schedule, overseeing four cars in total: two for the NISSAN FORMULA E TEAM and two for the NEOM MCLAREN FORMULA E Team. The experience allowed me to apply all the skills I had honed over the past years, ensuring that every vehicle was race-ready.

The tests were a resounding success, with a whopping 972 laps completed without any major hiccups. I was proud to witness the dedication and teamwork leading to such smooth operations. It was reassuring to know that the cars were fully prepared to kick off Season 11. What’s more, we achieved remarkable success during the tests, culminating in one of our cars finishing first, with Abbi PULLING through on Women’s Day. This achievement was a perfect celebration of hard work and resilience.

As I move forward in my career, I carry with me the lessons learned at Alpine Racing, and the thrilling experiences from the Formula E tests resonate within me. The world of Motorsport continues to be a dynamic landscape, and I am eager to see where it takes me next. With a strong foundation, I look forward to future challenges and successes in this exhilarating field.
